Sizzling with hot holidaying Italians and cool expats, Settimo Cielo pulls lovers of great food into its pulsing vibe and chic interior.
Chef Nicolas Lazzaroni assimilates the very best of contemporary Italian dining with wonderful rustic style and flavours. Lightly salted and butter soft air-dried bresaola atop burrata – a lush fresh cheese made from mozzarella and cream – is served with rucola pesto, cherry tomato, lemon and olive oil and is a delicious testament to chef’s coveted craft.
Chef Nic knows a thing or two about fine dining having worked the kitchen of Uma by Como in Ubud and as a budding chef he was shaped in the celebrated Sydney kitchen of Neil Perry’s Rockpool.
Lunch at Settimo Cielo offers taste bud tantalising choices. Antipasto sets are packed with delicacies like yellow fin tuna crudo, goat cheese stuffed zucchini flower and arancini of beef ragu with parmesan dusted aioli. For those liking a longer lunch our ‘Grazing’ menu offers an unlimited choice of dishes from the menu, which are easily paired with a number of superb wines, handpicked for their quality, and available at reasonable prices.
Dinner is more complex with house made ravioli with an egg yolk; ricotta and spinach plus a pine nut, pumpkin and crisp sage sauce that is a showstopper. The pappardelle with hand picked crabmeat, fennel, dill, pecorino roasted cherry tomato and rucola pesto is a close second. Fancy a little cry? Then try the baked chocolate mouse, which is an emotional experience dressed with candied hazelnuts and salted caramel. The rosemary and olive oil panna cotta will render the table speechless.
Settimo Cielo is a superb addition to Bali’s electrifying culinary scene. The interior drips urban cool with concrete block walls softened by beautiful honed Italian marble and lighting from white shades worthy of appearing on Valentino’s catwalk.
