”Decoration villa is unique yet comfortable. Its like living on the deck of a ship. And the privacy is good. We able to used accommodation transport from villa to Seminyak area in a day (drop off only) . Sometimes the tropical animals/insect usually come up in the night at the bathroom area. Overall the villa is very very comfortable, we can enjoyed our stay there. Hope we can back again.

”Our honeymoon stay at the Layar Resort was awesome and our experience there was memorable. We liked the interior design of our villa, not to mention the atmosphere of the pool and garden decoration with colorful plants and trees. Although the villas were located at the heart of Seminyak, we felt well rested in a quiet, natural, healing environment. All of the staffs are amicable and pleasant.

”My wife and I stayed at the 1BR villa for 5 nights for our honeymoon and we were really glad to have chosen The Layar Villa to stay at. The villa itself was amazing, had an awesome pool, outdoor living area was great that comes with a full functional kitchen for cooking, The bedroom was really comfortable, and the outdoor toilet was awesome. The staff were really friendly and helpful in ensuring our stay was a smooth and pleasant one. The restaurant (settimo cielo) serves awesome breakfast too! ”When we arrived and were taken to our villa we were impressed by the amazing view that greeted us. This was above all of the other 5 star+ villas and resorts we have stayed in. The indoor/outdoor living aspect of the villa is something that we love as this is something that is impossible where we live. Everything in the villa was of the highest standard and highest quality. All the staff were exceptional. So friendly and genuinely happy to help with any request we had. Any time a member of staff had to come to the villa they were always preceded by either a phone call from reception or a call from the gate intercom so there was never an unexpected interruption. The buggy service into Seminyak is very handy although the villas are only a 5 minute walk from Eat-Street. The whole team work very well together making sure your stay is unforgettable. ”Villa 11 is located a short stroll from the front in a quiet spot. Perfect for 2 couples a or a family of 4 (as long as the kids are older but don't mind sharing a bed as they can't be split but you can hire a rollaway bed). The pool is lovely and big, very clean and has great sun and shady spots too. We bought along a few pool toys to keep the kids busy. The buggy service from 9am to 6pm was a new value added service which we really appreciated (it wasn't available on our first visit- this is a new service). The new restaurant was excellent and breakfast has improved significantly since our visit in Feb2014.

”The 2 bedroom villa we recently stayed in at The Layar was so far the best we have had in 8 visits to Bali. The pool and outside areas are bathed in sun and are immaculately kept. The staff are immediately on hand when you require them and extremely efficient in their duties. The in room breakfasts were of great quality and a good choice was available. We are looking at returning and utilising the 3 and 4 bedroom villas next time.

”Myself, my two young children and my parents stayed in Villa 15 (2 bedroom villa) for an 8 night stay. On our arrival we were greeted by the friendly staff with a refreshing drink, quickly checked in and were escorted to our villa. The grounds of the resort are beautifully manicured and maintained. The villa itself was stunning, a little piece of paradise. The location is superb, just moments from Seminyak Square and our fave cafes Grocer and Grind and Sisterfields. We are all coffee drinkers and it was no problem for the staff to drop us to the cafe in the mornings to get our espresso fix. My kids loved the pool and it was a great design for them. The wide shallow steps meant that my 3 year old could play safely in the water and the depth of the pool wasn't too deep. Thank you to all the wonderful staff for being so accommodating. We will definitely be back!

From the first contact via the web site to enquire to the time we were dropped back to the airport we were treated like royalty. Staff were great with nothing too much bother, the villas were fabulous, food tasty, omtime and well presented. The location is good and just 1 minute to local restaurants and supermarket and a further 5-10 mins to lots of great shops and the breach. We can't wait to book again. ”We were a party of 6 adults and 4 children. The 3 bedroom villa was perfect for our needs. Well spaced and designed so that each family had their privacy while in their rooms but also being able to converge in the open plan living areas and keep an eye on the kids while they swam and played. It was the service however that was above and beyond my expectations. From the time of booking, everything proceeded with such ease. Nothing was too much trouble and every complain from a faulty toilet to noisy neighbours was dealt with in mere minutes. We loved having fantastic breakfasts in our villa which were always served on time and still hot from the kitchen! We have already recommended it to all our friends and would love to return in the future.

”The Layar villa was really lovely, and the service from the staff was very good. The villa is set up as an open living area - meaning that the area was unable to be closed off to the weather - and the bedrooms were separate and air conditioned. The bathrooms were all outdoors. The setup has advantages of easy access to and from the pool to the living areas. The downside is that it is unable to be cooled down - you are reliant on a cool breeze or an overhead fan which is so high it is merely decorative and not functional. We found that the kids were regularly disappearing off to bedrooms for some relief from the heat once the day was in full swing and they'd had enough of being in the pool. The location is excellent. It was literally two doors down from Peppers, which is where we stayed last time. The staff were very helpful, with the butlers being particularly so and would drive us around to places on the little buggies if they were not too far away. They also arranged trips for us when we asked, which was useful. We only tried the onsite restaurant once but the food quality was excellent. Breakfast was either delivered to the villa or had in the restaurant, and either was okay for us. All in all, we had a great trip and would only caution about the open living area as something that may not work for everyone when the temperature is an unrelenting 33 degrees.

”Amazing Villa. Two families in a 3bed villa and we all had enough room. Open planned and great pool. The Staff where amazing and the free 'golf cart' into town was a real treat. The breakfast was HUGE and delivered to our room each morning. The media room was nice up stairs to chill out in. Great internet. House keeping were so polite and happy. We had a child sitter arranged through the villa and they were very professional. A few mosquitoes but they sprayed the villas and provided spray. Definitely stay here again!

”Great location close to Eat Street and the Layar buggy service to Seminyak Square and surrounds was very convenient. Bedrooms in the villa suited our family of 5 (our teenager had a room to herself and the two youngest shared a room closer to the master bedroom), but wouldn't suit a family with all small children due to second bedroom distance from master. The pool was great for our 5 year old with long wide steps that graduated in depth so she felt very safe swimming in the pool. The new restaurant was fantastic and the breakfasts and room service were excellent. Would definately return for another visit.

”The Layar was a delight from the time we got to the reception for check in - chilled welcome drinks in champagne flutes, spiffy buggies to take us to the room, beautifully landscaped avenues and a chic, modern design scheme that was an elevation from the typical 'Balinese Villa' experience. The development is rather cosy, but the villas are well spaced and once you get past your door you can't see your neighbours. The pool was a little smaller than the pictures suggested, and we would have liked to have had a bigger pool, but it was well designed, clean and well maintained. Breakfast is provided daily from a generous menu and served in villa and the complimentary buggy service to most parts of Seminyak is hugely convenient and makes getting around so so easy, especially because of the central location. The staff were very helpful in arranging all types of activities and making reservations and had solid recommendations too. The in-villa massages definitely also added to the luxury! Would be back in a heartbeat!

”Very friendly, professionally trained staff which is very attentative and helpful. We aslo enjoyed the free buggy service from the hotel to the Seminyak town area or Ku De Ta restaurant (only drop off until 6pm and no pick up back to the hotel which was not a problem at all). The breakfast is simply gorgeous and there is something delicious for every taste. The food was immaculate!! Even though there are lush gardens in front of every bathrooms and the pool side there was not a big problem with mosquitos at all because the hotel does fogging twice a week (which is done as discretely and fast as possible; even if you are in the villa during that time just hide in the bedrooms for 10-15min). Overall a great experience and a relaxing holiday. Definitely recommended, worth every cent and hopefully we will be able to go back to this luxurious villa! Thanks to all the staff for making our stay such a memorable one!!

”Wow, where to start. From the moment you walked into the Villa it was amazing and looked just like the photos do on the website. The gardens are beautiful, the pool was is awesome and was huge and as for the bedrooms you couldn't tell which was the master as all the bedrooms and bathrooms were enormous. The airconditioning worked very well in all bedrooms. The staff were fantastic, very attentive and nothing was ever too much trouble. The 3 bedrooms villas were huge and spaced well apart from each other. We holidayed with our 2 teenage boys who loved every minute of the villa. We have travelled to many places but this will definetly be one of our favourites and will be back for sure. The villas are perfect for everyone, whether its a family, couples or a group of friends.

My husband & I were in the Master Bedroom, that is seperate to the Main Villa, which meant we had our own little private hideaway.Apart from the 3 bedrooms & ensuites in the Main Villa, there was a magnificent TV room, with wrap around lounge. The kitchen was well equiped, the dining table very comfortably accommodated our large family. Also has it's own massage room with shower & toilet, that was handy for when we were out by the pool. Most of our entertaining was out by the Pool & Spa.The Garden/ Pool area set in a lush garden setting, can only be described as Paradise. The staff were absolutely amazing, if ever we needed anything, they were at the Villa within seconds to accomodate our request.They serviced the Villa, Pool & Gardens daily & all staff were always happy & friendly. The breakfast provided was amazing with the staff coming in at the requested time & setting everything up & then coming back to clear away. Also would like to mention we utilised room service for lunch & sometimes afternoon snacks, prices were very reasonable & again meals magnificent. I thoroughly recommend staying at The Layar especially at Villa 5.A very memorable experience.

”Given the relatively higher price of these villas, we had very high expectations of the accommodations, amenities and staff. Pleasingly, these expectations were not only met, but significantly exceeded. I am not prone to exaggeration either!! Outstanding villas, with truly helpful staff. There are a multitude of villas in Bali and it is often difficult to discern which offers the best value. We have stayed at some others, and researched many more. Let me save you the time and risk. Layar Villas are the only way to go (on the proviso you are pitching in that upper price range) Kris

”Me and bunch of friends went there for a short break and The Layar has it all. The rooms are perfect and let me not start with the bathroom. It was so spacious that you can dance around and have your bath with peace. The swimming pool itself is also a big temptation for everyone to jump in right after check in. We couldn't handle the aqua color pool. As for the butler service is very helpful since we were travelling with little kid,so there are some menu that needs to be adjusted to suit little kid taste bud. I can't say anymore but perfection.
